Hon Tam Bien Nha Trang Joint Stock Company has launched hot-air balloon trips for tourists at the seaside park near Pham Van Dong Street, allowing tourists to take a panoramic view of Nha Trang City from a height of 150 metres.

A hot-air balloon is seen from Tran Phu Bridge in Nha Trang City

The balloon has a diameter of 22 metres and is covered by 49 pieces of colorful heat and pressure-resistant plastic. The balloon contains 6,000 cubic metres of helium and natural gas and its basket can hold up to 30 people.

Each cabin will have a solid handrail and protective net so tourists can be assured of their safety when they hover in the sky. The balloon will stop for about 15-20 minutes so tourists can freely take photos and use binoculars to admire the scenery.

From the skies tourists can see the stunning Nha Trang Sea, Hon Tre Island and dozens of islands in the distance, as well as Nha Trang City with its green tree lines, winding roads, churches, pagodas as well as interlacing houses.

Balloon flights were first offered at Hon Tam Island in February 2010.
