Ho Chi Minh City’s authorities are preparing the last steps before opening Nguyen Hue Flower Street.

The street is divided into three sections. The first section, from Le Loi-Nguyen Hue intersection, is called Spring in the City that is named after Ho Chi Minh. 108 lanterns and sculptures of a flock of chickens are displayed. The biggest chicken is 3.5 metres high.

The second section features the city's famous landmarks such as the Ben Thanh Market and Nha Rong Wharf. Many mini scenes have been set up with different themes including orchid garden, 12-egg fountain and the map of Vietnam.

The third section is decorated with various flowers from all over the world. The highlight is the 18-metre-long lake. The colourful lighting effects and flowers will offer a joyous atmosphere for visitors.

The event will take place from January 25 to 31. The display is organised by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee in collaboration with Saigontourist. This is the 14th consecutive year the flower street has been organised.
