Work on cable car linking northern pagodas to be started soon
Work on a VND1.7 trillion (USD74.2) million cable car project which connects two popular pagodas in Hanoi and Hoa Binh Province has begun.

Approved in 2016, the cable car route will be 2.85 kilometres, connecting Huong Pagoda in Hanoi’s My Duc District and Tien Pagoda in Hoa Binh’s Lac Thuy District.
The entire cable car line will have 17 support pylons.
The project will help shorten travel time between the two localities. It can transport 1,500-2,000 passengers per hour.
Around 35 hectares of land in Hanoi and Hoa Binh have been revoked for the project implementation. Lac Thuy District has handed over 17.1 hectares to the project investor.
