Vietnam's Bai Dinh Pagoda remains a popular draw for tourists, with more than 300,000 visitors over the Tet holiday to marvel at its Buddha and a millennium of Buddhist architecture.

The Vietnam Book of Records names the Bai Dinh Pagoda as one of the top 10 spiritual destinations in Vietnam.

The Pagoda is in the Trang An tourism Complex, which was admitted to Unesco's World Heritage List in June 2014 as a mixed natural and cultural site.

During the Tet Holiday of 2015 , Bai Dinh Pagoda attracted 369,000 domestic and foreign visitors.

The old Pagoda was built more than 1,000 years ago and was joined by a new Pagoda, built in 2008 on the 500ha compound at Gia Sinh Commune, Gia Vien District, Ninh Binh Province.

The old Bai Dinh Pagoda features elements of the development of Buddhism in Vietnam over successive dynasties.

The new Pagoda features a three-door gate, the Tam The Palace, the Quan The Am (Sanskrit) Palace and the Bell Tower.

The Pagoda holds the record for Asia's longest corridor, at 3km, with 500 Arhat statues in Asia, Vietnam's biggest Pearl Well (Gieng ngoc), and the biggest bronze Buddha in Southeast Asia.
