Hanoi’s Tay Ho District authorities have approved a project to build a lotus tea promotional centre.

The centre will be located in the Thuy Su area in Quang An Commune near West Lake which is home to many lotus ponds.

The centre is also near to many of Hanoi’s famous historical sites such as Tao Sach Pagoda, Tay Ho Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple.

It will be open from 8 am to 11 pm every day.

Coming to the centre, people can have a chance to find out how lotus tea is made, enjoy the tea, see the West Lake and take photos with lotus during its season.

The centre is expected to diversify the capital city’s tourism products. Traditional art performances such as Quan ho and puppetry will be held at the centre during lotus season.

West Lake lotuses are known for their enormous size and unique fragrance.
