Flower fields in Hanoi’s Tay Tuu Village have become more beautiful at night with light created by thousands of lamps.

The lamps are aimed to turn night into day to make flowers to bloom in time for the Tet Holiday.

The lamps are turned on the flower fields from 5:30 pm every day.

Beds of daisies under the light

Daisies are sold at around VND100,000 (USD4.54) per bunch of around 50 branches

Lamps are also used for beds of daisy which are about to be picked up for sales

Agricultural land in Tay Tu are being narrowed due to the urbanisation, so local people have to hire more land from neighbouring localities such as Thuong Mo Commune to grow flowers

However, many people are concerned that leased land is not as good as the land in Tay Tuu for planting flowers

Flower stealing has become more common in Tay Tuu. Some days ago, a local household had six beds of flowers picked in a night. So many local families are coming to the fields to protect their flowers at night.
