Dao Duy Tu Street in the Hanoi Old Quarter has been decorated with thousands of conical hats and lanterns, attracting a lot of visitors.

This is among activities to mark the 13th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23.

The hats and lanterns make Dao Duy Tu Street similar to Hoi An Town in Quang Nam Province.

The decoration will be maintained until December 2.

Many young people come to take photos there.

Foreigners enjoy the street space

A range of distinctive cultural activities were held nationwide on November 23-25 to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, including traditional dances, folk singing and folk games, as well as a calligraphy exhibition at Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi.

Lam Dong Province organised a festival to honour folk music with performances by ethnic minorities from the Central Highlands area.

Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting and photo award ceremony to praise the winning works that reflect the beauty of the city’s heritages.
