Hanoi recognises three new tourist sites

Hanoi authorities have decided to recognise three new tourist sites in the city’s outlying districts.

The spots are Ha Thai lacquer village in Thuong Tin District and Ha Mo area and the Phoenix Garden in Dan Phuong District.

Ha Thai lacquer village which is 300 years old is home to dozens of workshops and around 250 households engaged in making lacquer products. Besides wood, bamboo and rattan, Ha Thai craftsmen use new materials such as composites and ceramics to make their products.

The village’s products have been exported to many different countries, including the UK, France, Russia, the US, Australia, Italy, Japan and South Korea.

Ha Mo has many spiritual and cultural sites such as Van Hien Temple, Hai Giac Pagoda and Dai Phung Temple.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Garden in Dan Phuong has become an attractive place for young people with flower gardens and areas modelled on Da Lat City.
