Hanoi street already preparing for Christmas
Hang Ma Street in Hanoi is being covered with colourful decorations over a month before Christmas.
Shops along the street have been full of different kinds of Christmas products. Large-sized Christmas trees are priced up to tens of millions of VND.
A 1.5-metre Christmas tree is sold at VND5 million.
At present, local shops attract mostly wholesale traders.
Many young people come to the street to buy Christmas products and take photos.
The street is more crowded at the weekends and in the evenings.
Parents take their children to visit the street.
According to a trader, Christmas decorations are more varied than in previous years, but sales are slow due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In previous years Christmas décor, even this early, sold well before the pandemic.
