According to the site management board, Hoa Lo Prison has seen a surge in tourist numbers. Every day, the historical site welcomes around 2,000 visitors. This has been attributed to the launch of a night tour.

Visitors at Hoa Lo Prison
The tour recalls the life of revolutionary soldiers at Hoa Lo Prison during the time of between 1930 and 1954, including women who gave up on their family for national independence.
The tour brings visitors to see the prison to understand more what Vietnamese revolutionaries experienced in the past. They are also told stories of loyal and fearless people who died in the struggle for national independence.
Many tourists are emotionally affected by the experience.
Hoa Lo Prison has actively promoted its activities on its social networks. Its fan page has 268,000 followers.
