Students flock to opportunities at IT week

Successful IT people attended the exchange with students

After being organised for the 5th consecutive year in Ho Chi Minh City, this year's Bach Khoa Information & Technology (BK IT) has attracted thousands of students. The event promises to bring the city’s students together in a useful playground where they can exchange knowledge and accumulate experience relevant to IT.

The programme kicked off on March 14 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

In the morning of March 14, students from the Faculty of Science & Computer Technique had an exchange with Pham Huu Ngon, the first prize winner of the Vietnam Talent Awards 2008; teacher Thoai Nam, Head of the falculty; and Phi Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Informatics Association of Ho Chi Minh City.

The intriguing and friendly discussion lasted for 3 hours. All questions on scientific research, practicing activities and reference documents were answered in a very detailed manner.

On the same day, the CSE Idol musical contest was also held at A3 yard of the school in the afternoon.

During the opening speech by teacher Thoai Nam, he applauded the efforts and enthusiasm of the faculty in order to maintain the reputation of the BK IT week.

This year, BK IT lured over 20 leading IT enterprises. As part of the event, they showcase their IT products and advanced solutions as well as provided recruitment information.

The IT week 2010 wrap up on March 21 and is expected to welcome 10,000 students.
