A pen worth millions of dong
Famous brands become favourite
According to a salesman at Parkson shopping mall, some of this year’s best-selling goods included clothes, footwear, handbags and cosmetics belonging with high-quality brand names.
My, a shopper at Vincom Trade Centre, didn't hesitate to pay paid VND7 million (USD333.2) for a Hermes handbag to give to her grade-2nd-daughter’s head teacher.
“Vietnamese Teachers’ Day is a special occasion, so I wanted to choose a valuable gift for the teacher,” she shared.
Lavish gifts
Some of the gifts that people opted to buy are high-end products such as swallow’s nests or ginseng, which can run as high as between VND5 million and VND6 million (USD238-USD285.6) per box.
Custom pens, some worth millions of dong, were also at the top of the list.
