Only two universities in Asia have scored five points or more with regard to tertiary training in chemistry, and one of them is Vietnam’s College of Natural Sciences, according to the ASEAN University Network.

The College of Natural Sciences was placed first in Vietnam in 2012 in terms of chemistry training quality but second in Asia with 5 points after another university in Malaysia with 5.15 points.

Ho Thanh Phong, Rector of the International University based in HCMC, said his establishment will have its training programs accredited to international standards.

From now until 2017, he said, the school will go ahead with two sets of accreditation standards, namely ABET (for engineering and technology), and AACSB (for business).
