All four members of the Vietnamese team got impressive results, with two silver medals, in the 19th International Mathematics Competition for University Students that took place recently in Bulgaria.

Pham Minh Quang and Tran Van Do from the College of Natural Sciences under the Vietnam National University in Hanoi , the only university sending its students to the competition, bagged two silvers while the other two students brought home their own certificates of merit.

The competition this year attracted 315 competitors from 75 universities in the world. Contestants had to take 10 tests on algebra, analytics (real and complex), combinatorics and geometry.
