Nearly 60 institutions gather in International Higher Education Day
The Vietnam International Education Development (VIED) at the Ministry of Education and Training held the International Higher Education Day in Vietnam 2017 in HCM City on April 9, gathering 58 education institutions worldwide.
Speaking at the event, VIED Director Pham Quang Hung said international integration is vital for Vietnam to pursue the goal of innovating education and training, so that the education sector has been strengthening connections with international partners.
The event aims to not only provide support for government-funded scholarship candidates and students who are looking for education opportunities overseas, but also bridge universities in Vietnam and top foreign universities all over the world, he added.
The event featured a series of activities to promote collaborative education and research programmes as well as student and lecturer exchanges.
