Vietnam wins gold medal at Asian Physics Olympiad

Vietnam won one gold medal and three silver medals at the 18th Asian Physics Olympiad being held in Russia on May 1-9.

Seven of the eight members of the Vietnamese delegation won medals and prizes in the contest. The gold medal went to Dinh Anh Dung from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and the silver medals were won by Nguyen The Quynh from Vo Nguyen Giap High School in Quang Binh Province, Ta Ba Dung from the High School for Gifted Students of the Hanoi University of Science and Tran Huu Binh Minh from Phan Boi Chau High School in Nghe An.

 

The Vietnamese team attends the the 18th Asian Physics Olympiad


The Vietnamese team is presented with three consolation prizes.

China, Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and India and Vietnam of the 22 participating teams won a gold medal in the contest this time.

In the 17th Asian Physics Olympiad held in 2016, the Vietnamese team won three silver medals, three bronze medals and two consolation prizes.
