This is the first outdoor astronomy park in Southeast Asia. Covering 12 ha, it will provide a multi-function ecosystem that meets demand for study, science, and recreation for all age groups. The park will be put into operation this year.

According to Nam Cuong, a lake called “Bach Hop Thuy” covering 6 ha will be the heart of the astronomy park, which will vividly reproduce the formation of the universe, the solar system, and constellations.

“The park will be an exciting destination for those who love science and space exploration, since there has not been much investment in astronomy in Vietnam in comparison to other sciences,” said Ms. Tran Thi Quynh Ngoc, Vice Chairwomen of the Nam Cuong Corporation.

The astronomy park will be a highlight of Duong Noi township and aims to increase the value of scientific knowledge for local residents as well as people in Hanoi.

The project includes two phases. Phase 1 involves construction investment from August to December 2017 and Phase 2 will be implemented in the second quarter of 2018.

Demand for entertainment and study among the younger generation in Vietnam is on the rise and the combination of recreation and education is sustainable and deserving of further attention.

Many domestic developers have recently poured capital into building parks. In March, the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee announced a decision on the allocation of land to the Faros Zoo Investment and Development Joint Stock Company for the construction of the Quy Nhon FLC Wildlife Park Project at the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone in the south-central province’s capital, Quy Nhon.

The People’s Committee will lease 1.2 million sq m at Nhon Hoi on a 50-year term to Faros Zoo to build the wildlife park. The Faros Zoo Investment and Development JSC is a member of the FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company.

Last year, the Sun Group invested in the Kim Quy (Golden Turtle) Amusement Park in Hanoi, inspired by Disneyland. The amusement park is located in the capital’s Dong Anh district on an area of 198 ha. It will feature an open space for outdoor activities with cutting edge technology, including a Sun Wheel and hot-air balloons, among others.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told the breaking ground ceremony for the amusement park that the project is part of the capital’s efforts to work towards the government’s target of developing tourism as a spearhead economic sector and to realize the city’s development vision towards 2030.
