HCMC & Hanoi set to host New Zealand education fairs
More than 30 New Zealand institutions will be present at the New Zealand Government’s agent-led education fairs in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi on September 22 and 23, which aim to help Vietnamese students reach future success with hands-on education programs, scholarship opportunities, and the latest post-study work visa information.
New Zealand is one of only two countries in the world that has in place an International Education Strategy. As part of this, ENZ continues to work closely with local education agents to provide credible first-hand information and support to students interested in education opportunities in the country. ENZ this year is delighted to support L&V Education Agent in delivering the exciting education fairs.
The fairs will see the participation of 34 leading education institutions in New Zealand who will provide Vietnamese parents and students a clear pathway to the future. They will also provide various options to those in attendance and include secondary schools, private training establishments, institutes of technology and polytechnics, and universities. All eight of New Zealand’s universities will be present, providing various courses and programs tailored to individual students’ interests or academic levels.
“We’re very proud to be ranked No. 1 in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit for preparing our students for the future,” said Mr. Ben Burrowes, ENZ’s Regional Manager for Southeast Asia. “That ranking was built around New Zealand’s practical, hands-on learning environment as well as the development of qualifications tailored to global requirements in the 21st century.”
“All eight of New Zealand’s universities are also ranked in the top 3 per cent worldwide by QS Rankings, delivering qualifications recognized around the world. This type of international recognition and achievement is testament to the outstanding student experience we can deliver for our international students and Vietnamese students in particular. New Zealand is currently home to more than 131,000 international students, of which more than 2,500 are Vietnamese. We are excited about continuing to help shape their futures together.”
As a continuous effort to support international students, related New Zealand Government agencies will provide updates on the annual New Zealand ASEAN Scholarship Awards as well as immigration regulations. Last month, the New Zealand Government announced a new three-year post-study open work visa for bachelor-level and post-graduate international students that will strengthen their career opportunities.
