The pilot model of the smart health operation centre is the first AI operation centre of its kind in Vietnam which also includes an nCoV epidemic surveillance system.

At the launching ceremony for the smart health operation centre, a representative from the Department of Health said that the centre will help improve the efficiency of the management and supervision work, contributing to enhancing medical examinations and treatment.

The centre is also expected to facilitate managers, medical workers, patients and people in health check-up and treatment.

Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Health Tang Chi Phuong said that medical workers at the centre can make contact with nCoV patients and are updated continuously on suspected cases instead of through paper reports.

On the same day, the city’s Department of Education and Training launched a pilot smart education operation centre which is considered as an initial important step to build the city’s smart educational platform.

The centre includes smart and online tools to manage the reporting system within the Department’s competence, organise online meetings and a real-time monitoring system via set-up cameras, and update latest information on the education and training sector, among others.

The model will also help to create an online ecosystem to serve teachers’ teaching and research and students’ self-studying activities.

Politburo member Nhan said that the model is of great significance in encouraging students’ self-study during the closing of schools due to the 2019-nCoV epidemic.

The model also contributes to modernizing and improving education quality and creates easier and quicker access to international educational resources, Nhan noted.
