1.7 million students return to schools in HCM City
Over 1.7 million students in HCM City returned to school on March 1 after staying home for a month following the latest Covid-19 outbreak.
Nguyen Doan Trang, head of Nguyen Du Secondary School in District 1, said all students had their body temperature taken, asked to wash hands and wear face masks. The students also filled in medical declaration forms and were advised to use their own water bottles. If any of the students have common symptoms such as a cough or a fever, they should stay home and report the issue to the homeroom teacher.
According to the HCM City Department of Education and Training, they have asked schools to strictly follow preventive measures and monitor people who returned from outbreak areas.
About 2 million students in Hanoi will return to school on March 2. Students in Hai Duong Province and Hai Phong City will continue to stay home.
