Ethnic minority cultural festival opens in Tuy Hoa

More than 700 artists and athletes from 12 provinces and cities attended the Ethnic Minority Cultural Festival for central and central highland regions on July 1.

The festival, which is taking place in Tuy Hoa city and Dong Xuan, Son Hoa and Song Hinh districts in Phu Yen province will run until July 3. It includes a street parade, traditional art performances, traditional festivities and sport competitions such as volleyball, stick pushing, cross-bow shooting, stilt walking, and tug of war.

A food festival for the north, central and south regions will also be held in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen province, featuring more than 20 travel agents from 15 provinces and cities.

These activities are part of the 2011 National Tourism Year in the South-Central coastal province of Phu Yen.
