The event is part of the celebrations of the 18th anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism Day (October 24) with a view to promoting environmental protection for sustainable tourism development.
About 250 local students took part in the parade and joined in activities to clean up the streets and public places.
Participants carried slogans and posters designed by themselves and
cycled through the main streets in Phan Thiet city, which is known for
being an attractive tourist destination with beautiful blue sky,
sunshine and white sandy beaches.
Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Binh Thuan Culture Centre, described
the event as a way to raise public awareness of environmental
protection, create a healthy living environment, and build a green,
clean and beautiful city.
It also encourages local businesses to hold their responsibilities to
protect the environment and produce environmentally friendly products.
