The owner of the workshop, Vo Anh Huy, 32, said that he bought two dead tigers to soak in alcohol to drink and give to others as gifts.

The two tigers were then taken to Duc Trong Police station for further investigation.

Although keeping and trading tigers are banned in Vietnam, local people are still allegedly raising the animal in several places. Tigers are usually used to make glue or alcohol which are believed to be good medicine despite the lack of scientific proof.
