The problem has been seen at Ba Lang Beach in Vinh Hoa Ward for some months and worsened. However, nothing has been done to improve the situation. 

The sewage has also brought various kinds, including plastics bags, nets and pieces from fishing boats

Ba Lang Beach attracted a lot of visitors to bathe, but since the contamination has occurred, the beach has become deserted.

Whenever crossing the area, people often have to wear a mask to avoid the bad smell.

Nguyen Chi Danh, head of Nha Trang City’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment, admitted the problem, adding that Khanh Hoa Water Supply Company to dredge the drain. 

Nothing has been done to improve the situation

The drain is aimed to ease rainwater for the nearby residential area, but local residents have taken advantage of it for sewage discharge.

In late September, sewage was also found to be discharged directly into Nha Trang Bay. It was the overloading of a local pumping station that caused the sewage leakage to overflow into the bay.

Nha Trang is among the most beautiful bays in the world with the diversified marine ecosystem.
