New heatwave hits Vietnam
A severe heatwave has hit Vietnam on March 30 as temperatures are predicted to rise to 35-38 degrees.
A low-pressure area in the west has spread to the south-eastern area and combined with the foehn effect, meaning the heatwave will spread further. As the result, the temperatures in the north-west, northern and central coast will be around 36-38 degrees and over 39 degrees in some places.
The temperatures predicted for Hanoi is around 35-36 degrees. It will have 12-16 hours of 35 degrees and over.
The heatwave is predicted to last until April 2.
