Statistics showed that Ba To District recorded rainfall of between 200-400 mm between November 28 and 29. Floods have risen in many local rivers and streams, triggering landslides.

On November 29, many roads in Ba To District were flooded, isolating the communes of Ba Nam, Ba Xa, Ba Tieu, and Ba Ngac. Landslides have occurred at some mountain locations, threatening many houses.

Chairman of Ba Nam Commune People's Committee, Pham Van Din said that there were two serious landslides reported in Xa Rau Village on November 29.

"So far there have been nine landslides in our commune," he said. "Heavy rains are continuing and more landslides may occur, so we have had to evacuate over 30 people."

The committee warned that floods would continue to rise in local rivers in the next 24 hours, causing widespread flooding and landslides.
