Northern, central regions brace for first heat wave
Northern and central provinces are forecasted to experience their first major hot spell of summer with temperatures reaching 37 degrees Celsius.
This is the first widespread heat wave this summer.
In the northern region, fog and drizzle may appear on March 18 and 19, some areas may have showers, the centre said. Sunny weather is expected from March 20 when temperatures will gradually increase during the daytime while showers will be seen at night.
The centre forecasted that summer would arrive earlier this year with higher temperatures of 0.5-1 degrees Celsius than that of last year. More intensive heat waves may hit the north and central regions in April and May.

According to the Central Hydro-meteorological Forecast Centre, temperatures will rise from March 21 and may reach between 35-37 degrees Celsius between March 22-24.
