US helps Vietnam in community development

US Ambassador to Vietnam David Shear on Nov. 9 presented nearly $50,000 to four Vietnamese civil organisations to support their implementation of community development projects.
These projects aim to improve legal capacity for social organisations, help autism children, raise capacity of People’s Council female deputies and improve professional skills for English teachers.
Since 2001, the US Embassy in Vietnam has provided a funding of $420,000 to 27 projects implemented by non-governmental organisations.
