Devastation left by the typhoon in the Philippines

It has been estimated that over 10,000 people are dead or missing in Philippines, while 800,000 lost their homes. Some may face death if they are not aided. Videos and photos about the devastation have moved many to help.

Many readers have called and even came into the offices of DTiNews to express their desires to share some of the hardship with Philipino victims. DTiNews have set up a fund and will act as a bridge to connect the donors and people impacted by the storm.

In the past, DTiNews readers donated over VND804 million to the Japanese people after they were hit by a tsunami in March 2011. Also, one month ago, the readers sent over VND3 billion to the people in the provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An to control the damage caused by the 10th storm.

In the meantime, Vietnamese government has sent a emergency support of VND100,000 to the government of the Philippines.
