A poor widow in Nghe An Province is in desperate need of financial help to save her three children who are suffering from serious illnesses.

Bui Thi Hung's family is from in Village 2, Hoa Son Commune. The families of Hung and her husband are both poor when they married, but they hoped to build a happy life together. They were happy when Hung gave birth to twins. However, twin sisters were often ill and began loosing weight. Their bones grew fragile and broke easily.

They borrowed money anywhere they could in order to get treatment for their daughters. After going to various hospitals, their children were diagnosed with brittle bone disease and blood infection. After having sold everything they owned and running out of money for treatment, they were forced to bring the girls home.

Things got worse when Hung's husband died in a traffic accident and their third child has pelvic tumour. "When he was alive, he collected wood in the forest which he sold for some money. The children's medicines and our daily meals depended on him. I'm too occupied with the children to be able to find work anywhere," Hung said.

Without money to buy medicine, the two children's legs have begun to show signs of necrosis. One of the sisters said, "It's hurts when mother cleans my legs. We can't sleep at night and wish that father would bless us."

Hung cleans and bandages the wounds and even cuts out the rotten flesh from their legs herself. Her only wish is to ease the pain of her children.
