A couple in Thai Binh Province is calling for help to save their son who is suffering from cerebral palsy.

Nguyen Manh Nam's father, Nguyen Van Ba, finds odd jobs to bring in some money, while his mother, Tran Thi Vui works in their rice fields.
"When Nam was one week old, he cried all day so we took him to hospital in Hanoi. We were shocked when doctor said he had cerebral palsy," Nam's mother said.
Even though Nam is seven years old, he looks like a three-year-old. His body is twisted and he is unable to speak properly. She said they borrowed VND50m (USD2,300) to treat Nam and do not know how to repay the debt.

Unfortunately, Nam's father fell ill in 2014 and his health means he is unable to do hard work. Nam's father now often goes fishing which earns less than 100,000 VND a day. After having the second child last year, the family faces even more difficulties.
Nam's family lives in a dilapidated house. Nam's uncle often goes on long business trips so he lets the family stay at his house.
Nam's mother said she was not sure whether Nam's uncle would return home soon and if he would let them continue to stay at his house. "Having a proper house is a dream that will never come true for us," she said.
