Dan Tri Newspaper supported the opening of five classrooms at a secondary school in Son La Province on February 26.

In March 2015, Dan Tri and Vinschool held the Edurun event - run to raise money to develop education in remote areas. VND1bn (USD47,600) was donated to build the classrooms at Chieng So Secondary School in Song Ma District. Local authorities supported VND590m.

Chieng So School has 535 pupils and 15 classrooms, but nine of the rooms were in bad condition.

Dinh Thi Tu, headmaster of Vinschool Primary School, Pham Tuan Anh, Dan Tri's deputy editor-in-chief, Vi Duc Tho, party secretary of Song Ma District, local authorities and pupils at Chieng So Secondary School attended the inauguration ceremony.

Dinh Thi Tu, headmaster of Vinschool Primary School, said this success was thanks to the enthusiasm of parents and pupils in Vinschool who participated in the Edurun. This is a positive result for the next Edurun event which is going to be held on March 27, she said.

Representative for the Vinschool parents' board gave 20 gifts to the pupils at Chieng So Secondary School. Also at the event, TA Company sent 100 gifts to pupils at Yen Chau Boarding School.

Last year, Dan Tri helped opened three classrooms in Lai Chau Province and would start the construction for three classrooms at Lam District Kindergarten in Yen Bai Province this March.

"We hope the new classrooms will provide better environment for teachers and students to continue working and studying hard," Pham Tuan Anh, Dan Tri's deputy editor, said.
