Thousands of gifts sent to flood victims

Nearly 3,500 gifts from DTiNews readers have been sent to the people who are suffering after the massive flood in Ha Tinh Province.

On October 21, representatives of DTiNews and charity groups including many other reporters and businesses visited flooded areas in the central regions such as Huong Khe, Phuong My and Ha Linh communes.

 

350 boxes of milk transferred to pupils at Duc Linh and Duc Giang primary schools

Duc Lien, Duc Huong and Duc Giang communes of Vu Quang District, Ha Tinh Province are still being isolated.

1,950 gifts that consist of rice and instant noodles were given to people in Huong Khe District. The groups also gave 350 boxes of milk to two primary schools in Vu Quang District.

Nguyen Thi Lan, a resident in Village 8, Huong Khe District, said, "We're really appreciate everyone's kindness who always think of us. This is the motivation to help us rise up."

 

Van Phu Invest Company gave presents to flood victims

Nguyen Dinh Quang, chairman of Hoa Hai Commune, Huong Khe District, said, "600 houses were submerged in water. There's no official figure for the damage but large numbers of poultry and livestock were swept away. We're grateful for everyone's help."

1,500 boxes of instant noodles were given to people in Cam Vinh and Cam Due communes and 100 gifts worth USD45 each were transferred to the residents in Ky Lac and Ky Thuong communes.

 

Flood victims supported with instant noodles

Real estate investment company Van Phu Invest gave 33 gifts worth USD134 each to families that have suffered the most damages during the flood in Huong Khe District.

Also on the same day, the groups gave over USD22,400 to disadvantaged people in various areas in Ha Tinh Province.
