A three-year-old girl in a remote area in Ha Giang Province is in need of financial support after her mother died and father became ill.

Lu Thi Do's mother died when she was only six months old

The mother of the little girl Lu Thi Do died when she was just six months old; while her father Lu Mi Qua is often sick.

Qua said that when he works away from home, he has to bring his daughter to his workplace with him because he can’t come to the class in time to pick her up. Sometimes, the girl passes out due to lack of food.

These days, Qua is sick, so he can’t go to work, so he and his daughter are suffering from starvation.

Ha Thi Chuyen, Vice Headmaster of Bat Dai Son Pre-school in Quan Ba District, said Do was taken to class wearing just a very thin shirt in cold weather. Despite the hardships she suffers she is very obedient and hardly cries in class.

Whenever taking meals at class, Do eats very well as she often faces hunger when her father can’t work.
