The programme which is scheduled to last between February 27 and early March will see the participation of dozens volunteer paediatric surgeons and professionals from PVNF.

Also at the hospital on March 4-8, the foundation’s otorhinolaryngology doctors also provided free operations for both adults and children who face diseases related to drumhead, thyroid glands, sinusitis and goitres.

Established in 1996, PVNF is a non-governmental organisation of the American Academy of Paediatrics.

Over the past 19 years, PVNF has offered free surgery to children with cleft lip and palate in 36 northern provinces and cities. It has also provided medical training to local health personnel in Vietnam.
