Work starts on Dantri classrooms in Ha Giang

Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper held a ground-breaking ceremony for three classrooms in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on March 4.



The ground-breaking ceremony of Na Quang Nursery and Primary School in Ha Giang Province on March 4.
The classrooms, which belong to Bat Dai Son Nursery and Primary school in Quan Ba District, cost VND675 million (USD30,680).

The ceremony saw the participation of Dantri/DTiNews Deputy-editor-in-chief Nguyen Luong Phan; chairman of Ha Giang Province’s Association for Study Promotion, Hang Mi De, and Vice Chairman of Quan Ba District People’s Committee Sen Thang Long.

Built in 1994, Na Quang Nursery and Primary School with walls made from clay, has experienced serious deterioration. The school has 43 pupils from local ethnic minority families.

After the article about the school condition published on Dantri/DTiNews, many readers contributed money to help the construction of a new facility.

At the ceremony, Dantri/DTiNews' deputy-editor-in-chief Nguyen Luong Phan said that they were the first Dantri/DTiNews-funded classrooms in Ha Giang. This has raised the number of Dantri/DTiNews classrooms to 27 nationwide. DTiNews has also supported to build more than 100 houses for poor people and 13 bridges across the country.

On behalf of local authorities, Vice Chairman of Quan Ba District People’s Committee Sen Thang Long expressed his deep thanks for the support and Dantri/DTiNews for the school construction.
