Japan plans to open a Consulate General in Đà Nẵng as a way of boosting tourism and exchange between Japan and the central city.

Japanese language teaching has been taught at some junior secondary schools as part of the city’s foreign language teaching programme for 2012-20.

Đà Nẵng also reserved a 1.2ha area for developing the Japan-Vietnam Culture Centre in Ngũ Hành Sơn District as well as launching direct flights from Đà Nẵng to Osaka.
