The DanTri/DTiNews online newspaper will soon fund VND30 million ($1,530) to assist flood-hit households in Quang Binh province.

Half of the funding will be spent to buy 200 boxes of instant noodles for people who have had to live on roofs or on mountains for the past six days in Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district.

The newspaper reporters in the province will give the rest of the VND15 million to other households which suffer from loss of life and severe damage.

The newspaper will continue calling for charity from both local and foreign benefactors in an effort to help residents in the flood zones stabilise their lives as soon as possible. DanTri has pledged to serve as a bridge between the donors and the victims.
