A delegation of leaders and reporters from Dantri/DTiNews, readers and benefactors on October 14-15 came to assist the flood-ravaged households in central Ha Tinh Province.
They brought 1,000 donations which included rice, instant noodles and other necessities. They were delivered to the five communes of Phuc Trach, Huong Trach, Gia Pho, Huong Thuy and Huong Giang under heavy rain.
The mission also included 50 doctors from Hanoi Medical University and Hanoi University of Pharmacy who provided medical checkups, treatment as well as free medicine for thousands of locals during the trip.
More than 100 border soldiers from Ha Tinh Province actively helped to transport the relief to the communes.
The delegation handed VND500 million to the border army force to help build houses for families whose houses were seriously damaged due to the deluge.
