Danh Tuoc in Thanh Loc Commune, Rong Gieng District has been suffering from polyarthritis for many years. Despite the treatment efforts, his condition has not yet improved. The disease has caused him great pains and particularly his legs have faced amyotrophy. 

Tuoc's family besides their house

When his health was in good condition, he was a ploughman and supported the five-member family. But now, he has to stay at home due to the disease.

His wife Thi Kim Thanh has been living with inborn epilepsy. Recently, the disease has become more critical as she often faces convulsive fits. Her mother has to take care of her every day.

The family’s house has deteriorated and is about to collapse.

Tuoc borrowed money from relatives and neighbours for the treatment, but his condition has not yet improved.

The couple’s eldest child is now in grade 1, while the other two now have to stay at home from nursery due to the family’s financial difficulties.

Nguyen Khac Hung, vice chairman of Thanh Loc Commune, said that Tuoc’s family is the poorest household in the locality. He hoped people could help.
