A poor man who has faced skull injuries after a traffic accident now has to take care of his older brother suffering from Haemophilia.

In June last year, Dao Van Hung from Dac Son Commune, Pho Yen District, Thai Nguyen Province had a traffic accident, which left him with a broken skull. The car which hit him continued driving so he did not receive any compensation.

Her family borrowed money from different sources to take him to Viet Duc Hospital in Hanoi for the treatment. Doctors said that he needed an operation to reconstruct his broken skull, however, his family couldn’t afford the operation. As a result, now he has to bear a deformed head.

Hung’s father died many years ago, while his mother is often sick. His older brother Dao Van Hoan has been suffering from Haemophilia since he was small.

Haemophilia caused Hoan to be paralysed and in pains. He is now staying at the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion for the treatment. Hoan is taken care of by Hung at hospital every day.

According to Dr. Nguyen Van Nghi from the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, the treatment for Hoan is quite complicated and costly. He frequently needs to come to hospital. 

  

Hung takes care of his younger brother at the hospital

Hung said that he tried to look for a job to support the family as he is now is the main earner of the family, but no one wanted to employ him as he had a deformed head. The cost for the operation could cost hundreds of millions of VND, which his family can’t afford.

Speaking to DtiNews, a representative from Viet Duc Hospital said Hung had been advised to have an operation but couldn’t afford it.
