20-day-old baby suffers from heart disease
A H'Mong ethnic couple in Ha Giang Province are calling for financial support to save their newborn daughter from heart disease.
"Doctors said we should go to Hanoi so we left immediately even though we don't have money and have to rely on charity meals," My said.
Pang is being treated at Cardiovascular Center of E Hospital in Hanoi. At 20-day-old, Pang weighs two kilos and is too weak to even drink milk on her own. Both Hoa and My are farmers from the mountainous village of Nam Nhung so they don't know what to do to earn money for their daughter's treatment.
"We detected the pulmonary valve atrophy but can't say anything right now since she is too weak," said Dr Tran Dac Dai.
Luu Hoang Linh, vice head of the hospital's social work office, and representatives of Dantri/DTiNews had visited Pang and other children on the occasion of Children's Day on June 1 and hoped that the community will help save her.
