Nguyen Thi Ha, 35, in Ea Po commune, Cu Jut District, Dak Nong Province is taking care of her daughter Tran Thi Bich Tram, 11, who is struggling with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Ha said that her husband died some years ago due to tetanus. According to the woman, while working on a field, her husband suddenly trod on a nail. He, however, thought that it was simple and did not go to hospital for the check-up and treatment. Then a short time after that he suffered from tetanus and died.

In 2015, her daughter was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the final stage after continuous high fevers and faints.

Tram used to lose consciousness during the three-month stay at Children Hospital 2 in HCM City.

Ha even sold out her house to pay the treatment fees, however, her daughter’s condition did not improve. 

Since 2017, her disease has worsened, but the family was so poor to afford the treatment. So she was taken home.

According to doctors, a bone marrow transplant is the only way that could help to save Tram, but this would be very costly.
