Over VND712m donated to four orphaned children
A Dantri/DTiNews representative visited and gave VND712m (USD30,200) to four siblings in Ha Tinh Province whose father died and mother is fighting against cancer on August 8.
After their story was published, many people called to offer encouragement and gave them gifts.
"Their most important tasks right now is studying and how the sister can take care of her brothers. Then they can have some time to visit their mother in HCM City. We'll do our best to support them," said Le Dinh Son.
The children's grandmother Bui Thi Do said, "I want to thank kind people who helped us. I'm old and don't know how much longer I can live on but I'll teach them to be good citizens."
The eldest sister Phan Thi Thuong said this was like a dream. She said, "We don't have to worry about clothes and school supplies anymore. We'll work hard to repay such kindness."
