Three-year-old girl threatened by complex heart disease
A couple in Nam Dinh Province are calling for financial support to save their daughter from heart disease.
Pham Yen Nhi is being treated at Hanoi Heart Hospital. Dr. Dao Thi Thu Ha said, "Most people have two major coronary arteries of the heart but Nhi only has one. As a result, the artery receives huge blood pressure."

The surgery to give Nhi another artery is estimated to cost VND130m (USD5,500). Nhi often feels hard to breathe and is too tired to talk.
Two years ago, Nhi's family was already in difficulties after Nhi's brother, Pham Bao Duong, had cataracts and went through six operations. The family now needs money to treat Nhi and her brother at National Hospital of Ophthalmology.

Nhi's mother said she couldn't do anything after giving birth to Nhi so they all depend on the small income of her husband. They were only able to gather VND7m to admit Nhi to the hospital and have never dreamed of getting VND100m.
According to the doctors, the artery pressure is within an acceptable range now but the little girl is in danger and may die any day.
