Dantri/DTiNews has helped transfer over VND100m (USD4,300) in readers' support to the two orphans in Dak Nong Province.

Nguyen Duy Quang

VND54,810,000 (USD2,300) has been given to Nguyen Duy Quang, born in 2009, in Thang Loi Village.

Quang lost his mother when he was only nine months old to cancer. For eight years, Quang's father struggled to raise him and pay the debts. In late 2017, he planned to remarry but two months before the wedding, he died in a traffic accident. At that time, he had just borrowed VND30m (USD1,300) to buy a second-hand motorbike to work.

Quang refused to leave the house so his uncle came to take care of him. However, his uncle is too poor to support him.

After his story was published, many people have donated and expressed the desire to adopt him.

Nong Van Vuong receives donation

Dantri/DTiNews also helped transfer VND46,700,000 (USD2,000) to Nong Van Vuong, born in 2007, in the same village.

Both of Vuong's parents died because of cancer, leaving behind a VND40m debt to him and his 17-year-old sister. His relatives and neighbours are also too poor to be able to help them pay the debt and can only support them with food.

As of now, many people have donated over VND200m (USD8,700) directly to the siblings to help them pay the debts and continue studying.
