Ill little boy abandoned by his mother
A four-year-old boy in Hai Phong City who is abandoned by his mother is in desperate need of financial support to treat cerebral palsy.
"Duc was sad and he kept looking for his mother. It was painful to watch," Nga said.
Due to poverty, the family can only bring him to hospital for a check-up once instead of five to six times last year per doctor's advice.
"My husband died a decade ago. I work on the field for little income so I can't afford to bring him to the hospital too frequently," Nga said.
Dr Nguyen Van Tam said it was such a shame because Duc responded very well to the treatment. "It's been three years since Duc was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. At first, he couldn't do anything but now he can shake hands and express many emotions," he said.
Nguyen Thi Khoan, head of Le Loi 1 Village, and Vu Van Khanh, vice chairman of Minh Tan Commune People's Committee, said they could only help Duc's family so much and hoped that they would get help.
