Pham Thi Khuyen in Thuong Dat Commune, Hai Duong City, gave the premature birth to the twins in the 31st week of the pregnancy.

The babies after that had to stay at hospital for being taken care of for more than one month. Due to the family’s financial difficulties, Khuyen and husband had to live on charitable meals.

When the children were around one year old, the couple divorced. She became the family bread winner with a modest income of working for a garment and textile company.

Over the past eight years, the mother struggled to take care of the ailing twins.

The donation granted to the family

Following an article about her condition on Dantri, many people contributed money. VND120 million (USD5,217) has been granted to the family.

Khuyen expressed her great thanks to the donors’ support, saying that with the money, she will take her children to hospital for the treatment.
