Many people in Nghia Thuan Commune know about 15-year-old Hoang Van Kien due to the great pains he has experienced.

Kien’s mother, who was in good condition, was found dead one early morning while she was still holding her children in their sleep several years ago.

Two years ago, Kien’s brother Hoang Ngoc Huy went to the northern province of Bac Ninh to work for supporting the family. But just a short time after that, Huy died at his rented house. His death was similar to his mother.

Huy’s death was once again a big shock for his father whose health condition dramatically worsened. But Cuong tried to overcome the pain to become the family’s breadwinner.

However, when Huy’s death anniversary neared, his father fell at home. Despite being hospitalised immediately, he died.

At present, only Kien is left in the house with the photos of his beloved parents and brother.

Vo Sy Thong, chairman of Nghia Thuan Commune, said that local authorities have offered gifts for on special occasions. He called for donors to join hands to help the boy.
