The wooden bridge, which is 110 metres long and 2.6 metres wide, links My and Ba Giang villages in My Hoa Commune, Kim Boi District. It has been in bad condition since 2014 after being put into service in 2009. 

It is easy to see big holes on the bridge surface. 

Around 1,000 people and vehicles cross the bridge every day, mostly people in My and Ba Giang villages. The bridge is the only way for the villagers to cross the river. 

Ha Cong Lanh, head of My Village, said people and vehicles have fallen in the river from the bridge many times. Luckily, no one died. 

Despite the bridge repair proposals sent to authorities many times, the situation has not yet been handled. 

Children have to travel across the bridge to go to school daily.

Some households contributed their money and wood to fix the bridge, but the problem has not much improved due to its serious deterioration.

According to Bui Xuan Hoan, chairman of My Hoa Commune, the bridge serves around more than 300 households.
